Mix Max 1:12 Stab of the Hades Figure Review

Mix Max 1:12 Stab of the Hades Figure Review

I've anxiously been waiting to get this Stab of the Hades figure in hand to see how it compares to other 1:12 lines and it doesn't disappoint! Out of the box the figure just pops and has that sharp Deathstroke look that we've all grown to love. I've followed Deathstroke through the DC Comics Universe where he's had a few different looks so its really a matter of opinion which you prefer. Since I like almost all of his looks this one doesn't disappoint me at all. Let's take a closer look at this new figure and how it compares to Mezco and other Deathstroke releases.

Mezco Toyz One:12 Harley Quinn Review

  Mezco Toyz Harley Quinn Review

It's Harley Quinn, this sweet little girl that likes long walks and lolly pops.  If that were Harley I think she would be a much different character, maybe even a woman who pursues Bruce Wayne.  Harley is a bad, bad girl with lots of crazy thoughts going through her head and shes's in love with everyone's favorite whack job the Joker.  The first Harley I owned was the Mezco movie version and I thought she was a very cool figure with great head sculpts. This Harley, is the one that we saw in the comics or even some animated series where she just likes to be a wild girl. I was excited to get her in hand and when I opened her up, she really met my expectations.  Let's take a closer look at this very kind and lovely woman we call Harley Quinn.

Mezco Toyz One:12 Collective Gomez - The Clan of The Golden Dragon Review

Mezco Toyz Gomez-The Clan of the Golden Dragon Review

First it was the White and Black Shadow Gomez Assassin that came out as Asia Goal exclusives.  I'll admit I was disappointed because I love ninja's and I wasn't going to pay the mark up on the figures.  I've held out and still don't own either of the White or Shadow Assassin Gomez and boy I'm glad I did.  Enter the SDCC 2020 Golden Dragon Gomez, it was exactly what I've been waiting for.  He wasn't the white or black but he still looked awesome and I purchased two of them.  Now that I have it in hand, it's exactly what I would expect to get from a ninja figure.

Mezco Toyz One:12 Collective MDX John Wick Review

Mezco Toyz John Wick Review
John Wick blew up on the scene a few years ago and has been a total hit!  Keanu is really at his best in this role, and the gun play and action sequences are excellent.  Mezco has taken his character from John Wick 2 and put him into a sophisticated 1/12 scale.  The hype for this figure has been ongoing for over a year, but when I finally got him in my hands I really feel like it’s average at best.  Mezco had a lot of time and pushed back the release date, all raising our hopes that this would truly be an ultimate figure. I was let down, but let's take a closer look at the final John Wick from Mezco Toyz.

Mezco Toyz One:12 Collective Spider-Man Far From Home Figure Review

Mezco Toyz Spider-Man Far From Home
The newest movie versions of Spider-Man have been a huge hit with Marvel fans. I believe this is the 4th Spider-Man version Mezco has released in the similar red with black or blue highlighted suits.  I'm not counting the black PX version as this is a different suit and look all together.  I've always been a fan of the classic Spider-Man look and it was the first version Mezco released and I purchased.  What drew me into purchasing this version is the black and red suit along with some amazing accessories and head sculpts.  I'm very pleased with the Tom Holland head sculpt, Tony Stark glasses, and the perfect effect of a web mask that covers a figures face.  Now its time to take a closer look at the pros and cons of the latest release from Mezco Toyz.

Mezco Toyz Exclusive Lone Roach and Grub Figure Review

Mezco Toyz
Lone Roach and Grub Review
Not too long ago,we saw our first glimpse of the Lone Roach and Grub in one of Mezco's awesome stop motion videos.  I want to take a moment and commend Mezco on upping their marketing game as they have been creating the one:12 line now for almost 5 years!  I appreciate this aspect of their releases as it really helps add the to the characters personality.  Most people were really blown away with the tiny Grub that comes with this figure, and for good reason.  When I first opened him up and was posing and playing with him, I got a lot of good ideas for pictures and customs. I'm excited to finally review this duo and see how they hold up to the other Gomez releases.

Mezco Toyz Netflix Punisher Review

Mezco Toyz
Netflix Punisher
The Netflix Punisher show received a lot of hype over the 2 seasons it was on Netflix.  As the show was coming together I was disappointed they chose Jon Bernthal for the role of the Punisher.  I am a huge fan of the Punisher but will admit I haven't watched any of this show as I am not a fan of Bernthal.  Even with these feelings, I'm still going to give a fair review of the figure Mezco has given us.

Mezco Toyz One:12 Sovereign Knight Batman Review

Mezco Toyz
Sovereign Knight Batman
Do we need another Batman? Well, yes. Yes, we do...because we love Batman, you love Batman, and Mezco loves Batman. At this point I own many different One:12 Batman figures, but this one just might be my new favorite. He's sharp, mean, and tactical looking. The best part about him is that he is chock full of accessories. What's the point in having a cool utility belt if you don't have accessories, right? So let's take a look at this guy.

Mezco Toyz One:12 Marvel Blade Figure Review

Mezco Toyz Blade
Blade, otherwise known as Eric Brooks, was only a newborn when his mother was attacked by the doctor delivering the baby (Vampire Deacon Frost) and killed her.  In doing so he passed enzymes in his blood into the infant that would eventually become Blade. Blade would go on realizing his powers and fighting all kinds of vampires through time...one of them being Dracula.  Let's see if Mezco's version lives up to the hype of the notorious DAY WALKER!

DRONE Custom Figures Punisher Head Sculpts and Clothing Review

Drone_Custom_Figures
Punisher Work
Drone Customs on Instagram has been producing quality 1/12 scale items for over a year now.  He initially started out with a hooded Punisher and old man Bruce Wayne head sculpts that went over well with the 1/12 community.  He has since expanded making clothing for the Punisher as well as new head sculpts and wired capes for your One:12 action figures! So far I purchased the 1st edition Punisher head baklava and the classic blue Punisher suit and they are both awesome!  Today we take a closer look at his three new head sculpts and a specific Hydra Punisher T-shirt he created!

Mezco Toyz Exclusive One:12 Popeye - Deluxe Sailor Edition Review

Mezco Toyz Deluxe Edition Popeye
I'm Popeye the Sailor Man. I'm Popeye the Sailor Man. I'm strong to the finich, cause I eats me spinach. I'm Popeye the Sailor Man.
Mezco already hit a home run with the original release of Popeye. It was an 'out of the box' character and the figure instantly became a favorite amongst collectors. I have heard many people go as far as to say it is THE figure of 2018.

With that being said Mezco had a lot to live up to, but they did not disappoint.

Mezco Toyz One:12 Evil Dead 2 Ash Williams Figure Review

Mezco Toyz Evil Dead 2 Ash Williams
It's 1987 and Evil Dead had already made its mark a few years earlier with Bruce Campbell playing Ash Williams, but this time it started out as a vacation.  After a demon poses as his girlfriend, Linda, he is forced to cut her head off and bury her in the woods. Pretty cool start to a movie, right? As the movie progresses characters come along, but the majority of the movie is plain nuts.  It's a great cult classic, and if you haven't seen it yet you should watch all three movies (Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness).  Now it's time to take a closer look at Ash and see how well Mezco did translating him into figure form.

Mezco Toyz One:12 Iron Man Figure Review

Mezco Toyz One:12 Iron Man
Iron Man is easily one of Marvel's most popular characters at this given moment in time. Much of that is due to the Iron Man and Avengers films. Tony Stark is one cocky mofo, but he has the tech and the suit to back it up. Iron Man was a highly anticipated figure for us. He is unique in that the One:12 line prides itself on its soft goods, but this figure doesn't have any soft goods. With that said, they make up for that by making an extremely sturdy action made with metal parts, light up features, and lots of accessories.

Mezco Toyz One:12 Darkseid Figure Review

Mezco Toyz Darkseid
Darkseid starts at the top of any list when it comes to all time super villains.  He is the father of other villains (Orion, Kalibak, Grayven, and Grail) that all carry their own weight in the DC world of comics.  Darkseid is the ruler Apokolips but desires to conquer the universe and of course crush all free will. Darkseid has so many abilities that beating him takes an army of superheros fighting against him at full strength.  Does Mezco provide us with an ultimate version of Darkseid, or is this figure not worth the hype?

Mezco Toyz One:12 Popeye Figure Review

Mezco Toyz Popeye
Popeye the Sailor Man was one of the first cartoons I was introduced to as a child. I loved the goofiness of the show and how spinach gave him muscles to take on his challenges. First introduced in 1929, Popeye has become one of the most recognized cartoon characters of all time. I really liked the other characters such as Olive Oyl and Bluto as well. They really added to Popeye's character. Now we have an excellent figure from Mezco that a lot of people are calling the figure of the year.  Let's take a closer look at this sailor and see what we think about him.

Mezco Toyz Skull Island King Kong Figure Review

Mezco Toyz King Kong
King Kong is a classic character that I've never liked in any figure format...that is until I received my Mezco Toyz version.  Kong should be a large beast with some girth to him and maybe a few battle damage and scars, and that is exactly what Mezco delivers. Let's take a closer look at the ruler of Skull Island and all the things he has to offer to you as a collector.

Mezco Toyz 2018 NYCC Iron Man 42 Figure Review

Mezco Toyz Iron Man 42
Iron Man has so many different suits it's hard to keep track of which ones are from which comic or movie. Mezco's first Iron Man release is the 42 with black, grey and gold highlights with a majority of them being on the metal body.  Iron Man's suits all have a certain lure to them, and the black and gold on this one looks really sharp.  We will be getting more suits out of Iron Man's army, but let's take a closer look at the Model 42.

Drone Custom Figures: Punisher Classic Blue Suit Review

Punisher Classic Blue Suit
by Drone Custom Figures
The Punisher's look has evolved over the years, but he was originally introduced in a slick dark blue uniform with white accents.  Spiderman was the first comic he showed up in, but he quickly grew in popularity and evolved into a super hero (or maybe antihero is a better term) character for Marvel. I actually think the clean tight fitting suit in dark blue with white accents is an awesome look.  While no company has compiled this look with fabric Drone Customs decided he needed to provide it to the masses!
