Mezco Toyz One:12 Collective Nosferatu Review

Mezco Toyz
Nosferatu
Mezco surprised everyone when they announced that they would be doing a figure from the 1922 silent German film Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror which was the first vampire film. It's a classic character that has had a major influence on all other vampire films that have come out since then. I honestly don't love vampires or the horror genre in general, but this figure is so visually appealing that it has become one of my favorite Mezco figures which is a pleasant surprise.

Mezco Toyz One:12 Magneto Review

Mezco Toyz
Magneto
I am a huge X-MEN fan so of course I was ecstatic to find out that Mezco was going to be making arguably the ultimate baddie in the X-MEN universe. I am extremely happy with how he turned out and I think they knocked him out of the park.

Mezco Toyz One:12 Moon Knight Review

Mezco Toyz Moon Knight
I'm not a huge fan of the Moon Knight character, but I will say he's unique and his costume is sharp.  Marc Spector "Moon Knight" starts of when he's left to die in the desert.  He is discovered and saved by local people, where he was taken to a tomb and placed at the foot of a statue of the moon god.  He is later pronounced dead, but suddenly coming back to life saying Khonshu had brought him back to life! Let's take a closer look at the Superhero in all white, and see if he can withstand the Cheetos dust.

Mezco Toyz One:12 Pennywise IT Review

Mezco Toyz
Pennywise
In 2017 a remake of Stephen King's IT was made starring the creepy demon Pennywise clown that terrorizes kids in a Maine town.  The story goes, every 27 years Pennywise awakens to bring terror against its prey in a form it fears the most.  Personally I would prefer this demon stay far away from me, and I certainly don't want to see it take the form of a spider.  Pennywise is a shape shifting clown that strikes fear into all of its prey, even as an adult I want nothing to do with him.  Mezco did an excellent job with this figure and all the details it needed to create a truly demonic character.

Mezco Toyz One:12 Sovereign Knight Batman Review

Mezco Toyz
Sovereign Knight Batman
Do we need another Batman? Well, yes. Yes, we do...because we love Batman, you love Batman, and Mezco loves Batman. At this point I own many different One:12 Batman figures, but this one just might be my new favorite. He's sharp, mean, and tactical looking. The best part about him is that he is chock full of accessories. What's the point in having a cool utility belt if you don't have accessories, right? So let's take a look at this guy.

Mezco Toyz One:12 Marvel Blade Figure Review

Mezco Toyz Blade
Blade, otherwise known as Eric Brooks, was only a newborn when his mother was attacked by the doctor delivering the baby (Vampire Deacon Frost) and killed her.  In doing so he passed enzymes in his blood into the infant that would eventually become Blade. Blade would go on realizing his powers and fighting all kinds of vampires through time...one of them being Dracula.  Let's see if Mezco's version lives up to the hype of the notorious DAY WALKER!

DRONE Custom Figures Punisher Head Sculpts and Clothing Review

Drone_Custom_Figures
Punisher Work
Drone Customs on Instagram has been producing quality 1/12 scale items for over a year now.  He initially started out with a hooded Punisher and old man Bruce Wayne head sculpts that went over well with the 1/12 community.  He has since expanded making clothing for the Punisher as well as new head sculpts and wired capes for your One:12 action figures! So far I purchased the 1st edition Punisher head baklava and the classic blue Punisher suit and they are both awesome!  Today we take a closer look at his three new head sculpts and a specific Hydra Punisher T-shirt he created!

Mezco Toyz One:12 Exclusive Purple Variant Catwoman Figure Review

Mezco Toyz Exclusive
Purple Catwoman
Catwoman has always been one of the classic badass villains of DC Comics and a formidable foe for the Caped Crusader. Way before Harley Quinn was even a thing Catwoman was holding it down representing strong female villains. The initial release of this figure was fantastic, but the purple on this one just pops. Plus, Mezco made sure to make some improvements which should make many people happy.

Mezco Toyz 2019 Toy Fair Press Event

Mezco Toyz 2019 Toy Fair Press Event
This past weekend we had the pleasure of going to the 2019 New York Toy Fair. This was our fifth year in a row covering the event. Every year the Mezco Toyz press event is the highlight of Toy Fair. Not only do they pump out an exorbitant amount of new characters, but nobody takes better care of their guests than Mezco. Mezco gave out goody bags to all of the press in attendance. They included TWO new One:12 figures and other items as well. The new figures were Mezco's mascot, Gomez, and a Toy Fair exclusive Blade. More on those later!

Mezco Toyz 2018 NYCC 5 Ronin Wolverine Figure Review

Mezco Toyz 5 Ronin Wolverine
As many of you know by now I love Wolverine as he is my favorite superhero. There can never be too many Wolverine figures for me. I was pleasantly surprised when Mezco announced that they would be making a 5 Ronin version of Wolverine. I bet you never knew you needed a Wolverine with a man bun! The 5 Ronin Wolverine is based on Marvel's 2011 five issue series. Each issue focuses on a different character (Wolverine, Hulk, the Punisher, Psylocke, and Deadpool) and takes place during 17th century feudal Japan.

Special Ops Edition Punisher
What is the one thing that Mezco fans can't get enough of? PUNISHER!!! Every Punisher from the original release to the PX to the Classic have been amazing. Mezco Toyz Exclusive
The Joker Deluxe Edition
The Joker is not only the Batman's greatest foe, but he is one of my favorite villains in the DC Comics universe. This crazy psycho is packed with tons of goodies and accessories and truly deserves the title of "Deluxe Edition." This figure is a ton of fun and comes with so much that it's easy to cause a lot of mayhem with him!

Mezco Toyz One:12 Old Man Logan Review

Mezco Toyz
Old Man Logan
While I am a huge Wolverine fan the Old Man Logan storyline is not my favorite. If you're not familiar it takes place in an alternate reality in a dystopian future where descendants of the Incredible Hulk and She-Hulk (called the Hulk Gang) viciously run a territory of the country (now run by super villains) called Hulkland. Long story short Logan's family is killed and he takes revenge by killing them all except for a baby named Bruce Jr. A lot happens, but you get the point. While I don't love this particular storyline I do love this this figure. Let's take a look.

Mezco Toyz Spider-Man
Peter Parker, the little orphan boy who was bit by a spider and gained his powers, is no longer a little skinny boy. He is now seeking out his true meaning. He is now realizing what his true calling is.  Shortly after being bitten, he tested his skills against the wrestler Crusher Hogan and defeats him in crazy Spider-Man fashion.  After the match, his caretaker Uncle Ben is murdered putting Peter into a frenzy to fight crime his own way.  Peter was ready to face the criminals but didn't realize all the real enemies he would soon match up against.

NY Toy Fair 2018: Mezco Toyz

Mezco Toyz 2018 Toy Fair Press Event
This past weekend we had the pleasure of attending the media event for Mezco Toyz at New York Toy Fair 2018.  They had all kinds of new surprises in store for us. The One:12 line has easily become one of our personal favorite lines to collect. These are super high quality 1:12 scale action figures with cloth goods and tons of accessories. Essentially they remind us of mini Hot Toys, maybe even better.

Mezco Toyz Wolverine (Standard/Brown)
Fresh on the heels of the NYCC Exclusive Tiger Stripe Wolverine comes the standard brown version which is based on the 80's comic book art of him which made its first appearance in the UNCANNY X-MEN. As you know from my last Wolverine review he is by far my favorite super hero. I am happy to get another chance to get him in hand to play with, pose, and photograph. Let's take a look!

Mezco Toyz One:12 NYCC Exclusive Marvel Red Skull Figure Review

Mezco Toyz NYCC Red Skull
The Red Skull you are about to read about, is from his first encounter with Captain America in 1941.  Its a very clean green design, evil enough to be distinguish between olive green friend or communist foe. There are many things to like about this crazy character, depending on the time you were staying up late to read comics (some of us still do). Being a WWII junkie and Captain America fan, Red Skull became an easy Nazi you love to hate. He admired Hitler for his ideological vision, but grew tired of being his subordinate. Let's see where this Mezco Red Skull falls as a legit one:12 figure.
