It's been a long time since we had new GI JOE figures from Hasbro in our hands, but its starting to look like it was worth the wait. I've been picking up the majority of the 6" classified series, but right now I think Pimp Daddy Destro is my favorite in the current line.  Now this isn't the same level of figure we are used to reviewing with the $23 price tag, but it doesn't matter its a great figure. Hasbro released the original deco Destro in wave 1, but I'm really happy they went with this repaint for him.  Lets take a closer look at what Hasbro is offering us now in the 6" scale.

I got up at 5:15am on Saturday to catch the train around 7am to get to New York in time to check out the Mezco booth.  ToyFair was another amazing event, but Saturday morning I had Mezco on my mind from the minute I woke up.  Once I completed my trip and sat in line for my badge I was off to Mezco's booth.  Each year Mezco approaches the event a little different than they did the year before.  When 9am came the line outside the booth was packed and you could barely get in! Mezco was the talk of ToyFair which is no surprise as they tend to steal the show every year.  Once I was in the booth it was packed. I could barely move and everyone was getting hit with a barrage of Jansport backpacks. What was to come next was exciting. I just couldn't make my way to every spot in the booth due to the size of the crowd.  

HIYA Toys Harley Quinn Figure Review

I think Harley is the baddest girl of the entire bunch.  She's a fun character to play with in Injustice 2 with lots of great moves.  Hiya's adaption of Harley is pretty spot on from what we see in Injustice.  This particular figure is the classic costume which I actually like the best. Batman is a character that over the years dons a ton of different suits and looks. I generally don't find any that  I don't like that much.  I am not a huge fan of the Justice League movie or Ben Affleck as Batman but this figure is really sharp and detailed.  The suit is designed for combat with super power foes, as Batman only has his skills and wit to defeat the evil he faces. I really love Batman and Mezco really does a great job giving us every single one of his looks!

Catwoman is a staple character for DC Comics and big within the world of Joker and Batman, but she is not one of my favorite characters.  Mezco Toyz continues to expand their One:12 line by releasing their third female character so far. Like Harley Quinn, Catwoman has some really cool things about her, but she also has some subtle flaws to deal with.  It's time to take a closer look at what Mezco has produced with their first release of Catwoman.

He is now realizing what his true calling is.  Shortly after being bitten, he tested his skills against the wrestler Crusher Hogan and defeats him in crazy Spider-Man fashion.  After the match, his caretaker Uncle Ben is murdered putting Peter into a frenzy to fight crime his own way.  Peter was ready to face the criminals but didn't realize all the real enemies he would soon match up against.

Deathstroke the assassin has been around since 1980, and a lot of people describe him as DC's version of Marvel's Deadpool. Over time, Deathstroke has taken on the Teen Titans, Batman and Green Arrow with his story always evolving.  Deathstroke was originally introduced as the Terminator, taking contracts and eliminating targets.  He was chosen for a secret military experiment that gave him enhanced abilities he would later put to use. Deathstroke has the strength of ten men, and also has the ability to use up to 90% of his brain power.  Considering these two things alone, Deathstroke has a strong advantage against you.
 Let's take a closer look at this superhuman Terminator and see how well Mezco did.

How do you start a review for such an iconic character from my childhood...by explaining how this is the best Punisher figure ever made!  Mezco has released three different versions of the Punisher with much debate around which version is the best.  I currently own all three versions, and I believe they are unique in their own way depending on the time period you may have read the Punisher comics.  What separates the Classic version from the other two is it brings us that early, original Punisher look.  Let's jump into the review and see why this figure punishes all of the others!

NECA toys is really starting to go deep into our childhood toys in a great way.  In the 90's the Kenner Aliens, Predators, and Marines line was a huge hit and provided a ton of unique looks to these characters.  One of the craziest ones was the Alien Queen Facehugger that was a larger, uglier, creepier version of a regular Facehugger.  Based off of the Kenner storyline the Queen Facehugger can't plant Alien larva into a host but is there to defend the Queen eggs and sometimes uses its tail and legs to help hold down a host.  One of the things about the large Queen Facehugger, like other facehuggers, is it reminds me of a nasty spider, and I hate spiders…

"He's never been afraid to say, what's on his mind at any given time of day, because he's a renegade!"

The Renegade Predator is a young, brash New Blood that wants his first Xeno kill! 

Yes, this Predator is dope. He is sharp looking, well made, and comes with some very cool weapons. NECA is now at Series 13 of the amazing Predator line. There are some specific things I noticed with this Predator right from the jump, and I can't wait to talk about them! Sit back, read, and imagine what the Renegade will look like in your jungle!

Packaging:

The front of the packaging for the Renegade is the same as the other Kenner-type Predators.  It's vibrant colors, and cool art always stands out on these figures. The description of the Renegade is a very nice, brief read.  It gives you that feeling of being in his shoes and getting a taste of what the purpose is of the Renegade. 

Figure:

First, let me say that the Renegade is the best Predator made to date. I am not basing this off of his look or his weapons but the actual movement and paint.  His joints are crisp; the fingers on his hands move, bend, and hold the weapons perfectly.  I moved his head, joints, hands, and fingers and it all felt great.  I haven't had issues with Predators in the past, but the difference with this one is it feels like a $60 figure.  He's quality product and super fun. So fun, in fact, that I had to play with him a ton as soon as I opened him!

 Weapons:

So the weapons on the Renegade aren't that great……SIKE!  First of all, Renegade gets to have his own plasma gun!  What other predator comes with any type of gun?  Not only that but the gun is made well and fits in his hand perfectly!  He also has wrist blades and an awesome dual-edged weapon.  His weapons are very unique which I think brings this Predator to another level.  When I was taking pictures with the Renegade I had a blast posing him in all kinds of different positions with the weapons...it was a must!  

Watch the Renegade try to get his first XENO kill! 

Bottom Line:

The Renegade Predator is dope and a must buy!  His color scheme is awesome, weapons are well made, and he just looks like a Xeno killer!  Make sure to pick him up ASAP!
