Mezco Toyz One:12 Magneto Review

I am a huge X-MEN fan so of course I was ecstatic to find out that Mezco was going to be making arguably the ultimate baddie in the X-MEN universe. I am extremely happy with how he turned out and I think they knocked him out of the park.

Pros:

• 2 head sculpts (1 masked, 1 unmasked)
• 6 hands
• Wired cape
• Gun disassembling effect
• Magnetic force effects with imbedded magnets

Cons:

• Light on accessories compared to other figures in the One:12 line BUT it makes sense based on the character

Figure

Magneto is one of the most powerful mutants in the Marvel universe. He doesn't use weapons like swords, guns, etc. His weapon is the power of magnetism. So right off the bat I will say he is a little light on accessories because of that. But the accessories Mezco did add help make up for that. First, all the head sculpts on this figure look amazing. I am pleased with each one of these faces. Secondly, the body is highly articulated and can hold some very dynamic poses. His magnet effect is truly awesome. It is pretty strong. You can see an example of that in one of the pictures. Also, the disassembled gun effect is my favorite one. It is very cool looking.

Overall

As always this figure is made with high quality materials. His clothing is very nice and I especially like the masked face, wired case, and disassembled gun accessory. All X-MEN fans will be happy to have this in their collection. His accessories are pretty specific for him so you won't really be able to use his as fodder which I know many people like to do. However, what he does come with makes him a very versatile figure due to the many looks you can use with him. This figure is a winner in my book and I look forward to more horror figures in the future. I am very happy to add another villain to the collection. As I said before I love X-MEN so I hope they go deep with this line. Bring them on, I will buy them all.
