Mezco Toyz One:12 Old Man Logan Review

Mezco Toyz
Old Man Logan
While I am a huge Wolverine fan the Old Man Logan storyline is not my favorite. If you're not familiar it takes place in an alternate reality in a dystopian future where descendants of the Incredible Hulk and She-Hulk (called the Hulk Gang) viciously run a territory of the country (now run by super villains) called Hulkland. Long story short Logan's family is killed and he takes revenge by killing them all except for a baby named Bruce Jr. A lot happens, but you get the point. While I don't love this particular storyline I do love this this figure. Let's take a look.
Pros
  • One brand new grizzled, scarred Old Man Logan face sculpt
  • Outstanding brown leather-like overcoat
  • Removable cowboy hat
  • Sculpted cowboy boots and belt buckle
  • Baby Hulk
  • Backpack that can hold Baby Hulk
  • Six interchangeable hands
Cons
  • Only comes with one head sculpt, but the quality of the one it comes with combined with the other accessories (such as the jacket) makes up for it
Figure
Being as big of a Wolverine fan as I am getting this figure was a no brainer. I have to say I am very pleasantly surprised by this figure. I thought it would be good, but it is even better than I expected. I really should not be surprised anymore when it comes to Mezco One:12 figures.

Just like Knightmare Batman the soft goods on this are fantastic. I love the overcoat a ton so that will be my preferred look once I display this figure. They nailed the cowboy look with this hat, belt, and boots. Underneath the coat you will find a white tee and work pants similar to Dickies. The backpack is another high quality piece that has a lot of detail in it. As I said earlier, you get three pairs of hands, but if you're anything like me you will primarily be using the clawed hands...but it's nice to have the option to switch it up if you want.
Overall
Just wait until you get this figure in your hands. As is almost always the case with Mezco this is even better than past photographs of the figure have shown. The detail of the grizzly, old, scarred up face as well as the quality of the long, leather overcoat are my favorite things about this figure. I am happy to add a fourth Wolverine to my collection especially one that as radically different as this one is. If you haven't gotten him yet be sure to head over to the Mezco website and doing the waiting list!
