NECA TOYS SDCC Exclusive Arcade TMNT/FOOT Sets Review

Where do I even begin with these? Over and over Randy Falk and the crew over at NECA TOYS find ways to make the unthinkable happen. This year's SDCC exclusive sets are no exception. The Konami arcade styled TMNT and Foot four packs just miiiight be my favorite thing NECA has done to date. (With that said, I am certainly looking forward to the 1/4 scale movie Donatello hitting retail this fall).

Those that know me know that I am one of the biggest TMNT fans out there. When I think about my childhood and toys I think about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Over the last few years I've found some online buddies who share this passion with me such as The Sewer Den and Crooked Ninja (good guys...check 'em out).

NECA TOYS The Terminator Police Assualt T-800 Review

The "Police Assault" in the Terminator was a scene I relished as a kid.  I always wanted the bad guys to win and take it to the good guys. The Terminator kills 17 police officers after driving a car through the front of the police station.  The music tone is great as he massacres cop after cop trying to find Sarah Connor.  This is a rarity in films as its always the good guys who win, but in this scene it's Terminator 17 - Cops 0. In my opinion, this scene may be the best scene in the entire franchise of the Terminator as it truly shows what a Terminator can do...kill mercilessly and without emotion.

NECA TOYS Weyland-Yutani Commando Review

ALIEN 3 Weyland-Yutani Commando

The Commando is not John Matrix, but it is Weyland-Yutani's strong arm fighter.  We don't get to see too much of these Commandos in the movie, but I am happy that NECA decided to make sure they were released.  A lot of action movies try different looks for their "military" ranks, especially movies that are set in the future or a different time.  The movie ALIEN 3 is no different, and for me the Commandos were the highlight of the film. They are hardcore fighters that don't fear much of anything...maybe just a Xenomorph or a rogue Ripley.

NECA has always thought of ways to bring us cool accessories for two of their most successful lines, ALIEN as well as PREDATOR. First they brought us the very popular PREDATOR 2 Trophy Wall with skulls. Most recently they brought us the ALIENS Egg Carton with facehuggers. People are always clamoring for more accessories for these lines and NECA listened. They have brought us an ALIENS creature pack!

NECA TOYS The Terminator Tech Noir T-800 Review

The "Tech Noir" club is fictional  of course and was set up just for the scene in The Terminator.  However, during filming people on the street wanted to get in not realizing it was not a real club.  I think the people that wanted to get in changed their minds after seeing the movie.  This figure encompasses more than just the club scene, and I think this is a classic part that resonates with everyone.  Arnold melts the bouncers hand and proceeds to mow down anyone in his way of killing Sarah Connor.
